Abstract

Adaptive leadership is a skill that nurse leaders can further develop to help meet the emerging needs of our complex healthcare environment. Now more than ever, hybrid virtual teams are part of healthcare organizations. Due to this change, the leadership approach to engagement and retention must evolve. Leveraging adaptive leadership skills enables the creation of innovative solutions to emerging challenges, fosters team culture and community, encourages collaboration, and enhances staff engagement and retention.
